Winnie Coutts


Winnie Coutts (2 Februari 1876 – 29 Februari 1960) merupakan korban selamat dari bencana Titanic. Ia lahir di Irlandia dan hidup di London, Inggris dan menikah dengan William Coutts. Dari pernikahan tersebut mereka menghasilkan dua orang anak bernama William Loch dan Neville.[1] Pasca tragedi Titanic, ia dan keluarganya pindah ke New Jersey, Amerika Serikat.

Hoax

Pada majalah Weekly World News edisi Juni 1992, majalah tersebut mencatut nama Winnie Coutts untuk menciptakan kisah fiktif.[2] Dikisahkan bahwa Wenny Kathe yang berusia 29 tahun ditemukan di atas gumpalan es Samudera Atlantik Utara dengan jarak 363 km barat daya Islandia pada tanggal 24 September 1990 dengan keadaan tidak terlihat tanda-tanda tua sedikitpun juga.
