Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld

Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, juga disebut Zonnenfeld (1 Desember 1848 – 26 Februari 1932), adalah rabi dan salah satu pendiri Edah HaChareidis, sebuah komunitas Yahudi Haredi di Yerusalem, pada masa Palestina Mandat Britania. Ia awalnya diberi nama "Chaim". Namun, nama "Yosef" ditambahkan kepadanya saat ia mengalami sakit. Sonnenfeld lahir di Verbó, Kekaisaran Austria. Ayahnya, Rabbi Avraham Shlomo Zonnenfeld, meninggal saat Chaim berusia lima tahun.

Sonnenfeld adalah murid dari Rabi Samuel Benjamin Sofer (Ksav Sofer), putra dari Rabi Moses Sofer (Chasam Sofer). Ia juga merupakan murid dari Rabi Avraham Schag di Kobersdorf (yang ia sendiri adalah murid dari Chasam Sofer). Sonnenfeld kemudian pindah ke Yerusalem pada 1873.
