Yuji Don Okumoto (雄二・ドン・奥本, Yūji Don Okumoto, lahir 20 April 1959) adalah seorang aktor asal Amerika Serikat. Ia dikenal karena perannya sebagai Chozen Toguchi dalam film The Karate Kid Part II (1986) dan serial televisi sekuelnya, Cobra Kai (2021–2025). Ia juga muncul dalam film Better Off Dead, Real Genius (keduanya 1985), True Believer (1989), American Yakuza (1993), Contact (1997), The Truman Show (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), Only the Brave (2006), Inception (2010) dan Driven (2018).
Kehidupan awal
Okumoto, seorang Amerika Jepang generasi ketiga (Sansei), lahir dan besar di Los Angeles, California.[1] Ia mulai karate pada usia 13 tahun, belajar di bawah berbagai sensei. Pada saat The Karate Kid Part II, Okumoto yang berusia 27 tahun memegang sabuk coklat di Karate, dan telah mempelajari keterampilan dasar dalam seni bela diri lainnya, termasuk Taekwondo dan Judo. Instruktur Judo-nya adalah Hayward Nishioka, Sensei Karate Chitō-ryū-nya adalah Yukinori Kugimiya, Instruktur Kajukenbo-nya adalah Sensei Ron Takaragawa, dan Yau Kung Moon Sifu-nya adalah Kevin Quock.[2][3]
Ia lulus dari Hollywood High School dan Cal State Fullerton, tempat ia belajar akting.[1]
Kehidupan pribadi
