Zamia lucayana adalah spesies tumbuhan dalam famili Zamiaceae, yang merupakan bagian dari kompleks spesies Zamia pumila.[2][3] Tumbuhan ini endemik di Bahama dan terancam punah akibat hilangnya habitat.[1] Z. lucayana secara lokal dikenal sebagai "bay rush".[4]
Karakteristik
Seluruh populasi Z. lucayana yang diketahui berada di jalur semak pesisir sepanjang 65 kilometer (40 mi) dengan lebar 100 meter (330 ft) yang didominasi oleh Coccoloba uvifera (anggur laut) di pantai timur Long Island. Pada awal 2010-an, Z. lucayana ditemukan dalam tiga populasi utama (masing-masing 240 hingga 400 tanaman dewasa) di pemukiman Buckley's, Petty's, dan Hamilton's, serta dua populasi kecil yang terdiri dari 10 tanaman dewasa di Galloway Landing dan 20 tanaman dewasa di Mangrove Bush, dengan total sekitar 980 tanaman dewasa. Habitat semak pesisir tersebut memiliki luas 1 kilometer persegi (0,39 sq mi), dengan tanaman Z. lucayana hanya menutupi 006 kilometer persegi (600 ha; 1.500 ekar) dari habitat tersebut.[5]
Z. lucayana terkadang terdaftar sebagai sinonim dari Zamia integrifolia,[6] namun Hingga 2013[update] tanaman ini dianggap sebagai spesies yang valid.[7][8]
