Summit and shield volcano in Oregon, US
Rustler Peak is a summit and shield volcano in the U.S. state of Oregon.[1] The elevation is 6,214 feet (1,894 m).[1]
Rustler Peak was named for the fact cattle rustlers once operated in the area.[2]
Geology
Rustler Peak is a shield volcano. However, it is forested compared to Mount McLoughlin and Brown Mountain, two other nearby volcanoes that don't have forests. Rustler Peak is considered as an extinct volcano.
