Szymbark (Polish: [ˈʂɨmbark] ) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stężyca , within Kartuzy County , Pomeranian Voivodeship , in northern Poland .[ 1] It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) east of Stężyca , 15 km (9 mi) south-west of Kartuzy , and 39 km (24 mi) south-west of the regional capital Gdańsk .
The town has an open-air museum featuring traditional Kashubian wooden houses, an upside-down house, and the longest wooden plank in the world (measuring 38.83 meters).[ 2]
