Aleksandar Stojanovski (born February 16, 1983) is a former Macedonian footballer played as a forward.

Club career

Stojanovski began his career in 2004 in the Macedonian First Football League with FK Belasica. In his debut season he recorded 26 goals which made him the league's top goalscorer.[1][2] In 2005, he went abroad to Croatia to play with HNK Cibalia in the Croatian First Football League.[3] The following season, he returned to Macedonia to sign with FK Pobeda, where he won the league title.[4] He briefly played abroad in the First Professional Football League with OFC Belasitsa Petrich in 2007.[5][6] He returned to his native country to play with FK Napredok, FK Makedonija Gjorče Petrov, FK Teteks.[7][8] In 2012, he played in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina with FK Leotar.[9] In 2012, he returned to Macedonia to play with FK Milano Kumanovo, FK Gorno Lisiče, and FK Sileks.

Canada

He would spend the 2012 summer season abroad in the Canadian Soccer League with the Serbian White Eagles.[10] Stojanovski assisted the Serbs in securing a playoff berth by finishing sixth in the first division.[11] The Serbs defeated SC Toronto in the opening round of the postseason.[12] Toronto Croatia eliminated the Serbs from the playoffs in the next round.

Stojanovski returned to the Canadian circuit in 2014 to play in the league's second division with the York Region Shooters reserve team.[13] He would re-sign with York Region for the next season and play with the senior team.[14] He helped the club secure a playoff berth by finishing third in the league's first division.[15] Stojanovski contributed a goal in the preliminary round of the postseason against Burlington SC that advanced the club to the next round.[16][17] Their playoff journey concluded in the following round after an overtime loss by Toronto Croatia.[18]

He returned for the 2016 season.[19] In his third season with the Vaughan-based club, he assisted in securing the divisional title.[20] Their opponents in the opening playoff round were Milton SC and advanced to the next stage.[21] York Region would be eliminated from the competition in the next round by Hamilton City.[22]
