Emma Louise Foody[1] is a British Labour and Co-operative Party politician who has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Cramlington and Killingworth since 2024.
Foody is a local campaigner who started out working for North East Ambulance Service as a 999 call handler.[2][3] She later became the regional director for the East Midlands Labour Party, and then the deputy police and crime commissioner for Nottinghamshire.[4]
She was born in Gosforth and is married to Alex Norris, Labour MP for Nottingham North.[5][4] She attended St Charles R.C Primary School in Gosforth,[citation needed] and Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Fenham, both of which are in Newcastle Upon Tyne.[6]
