Louise Elizabeth Jones is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for North East Derbyshire since 2024. She gained the seat from Lee Rowley, a Conservative.[1]

Career

Jones studied Chinese at the University of Edinburgh[2]

She is a former Army intelligence officer and a veteran of the War in Afghanistan.[3] In July 2021, she joined McKenzie Intelligence Services as Head of Intelligence.[4]

She served as a councillor for the Loughborough East ward on Charnwood Borough Council, resigning from this role in March 2024 after she was selected as the prospective parliamentary candidate for North East Derbyshire.[5]

Jones is a landlord and declares a rental income over £10,000 a year for a residential property in Leicestershire.[6]
