The academy was previously also known as the ChinaNational School of Administration[4][5] and the Chinese Academy of Governance.
Under a reorganization of party and state institutions, the academy was merged with the Central Party School of the Chinese Communist Party in March 2018.[6] Its name is retained by the Central Party School as part of the "one institution with two names" system.
