Template talk:Medway area RDT
This template is similar to the far smaller Template:Medway Towns RDT- but answers further questions- putting in hubs such as Ebsfleet and Dartford (with hopes of a Cross Rail service). It stitches in the HS1 route which has increasingly become a problem for visitors from France failing to understand the connections. - @ClemRutter: The intention of Template:Medway Towns RDT was that it would be limited to those stations actually within the Borough of Medway; as such, Ebbsfleet and Dartford, being in the Borough of Dartford (which nowhere touches the Borough of Medway - the Borough of Gravesham is in between), were deliberately excluded. - @Redrose64: I have left them both as alternatives- and added a link to various pages. There is a conflicting need- Template:Medway Towns RDT renders well as a narrow guide- but it omits the HS1 line which is the only line some of my eclectic mix of guests have ever used. Many are language assistants working in Gravesham schools so I left in Meopham and Longfield which have meaning to them (and it filled a space). We don't get any cross-over with Assistantes working in the Mid Kent schools, and neither Rochester-upon-Medway or Medway ever had any cooperative events with Maidstone MBC.
- Sure changes can be made- moving Strood first down a square and showing the Higham and Strood tunnels separately would improve it- and including more of the river. Extra stations- why not. I am looking at this from a Rochester& Strood perspective but there are others. Including HS1 so it rendered correctly was the challenge and I think I am still 1px out at Strood BHF.
- Thinking about it- things have moved on- Template:Medway Towns RDT is probably better named as Template:Medway RDT and Template:Medway area RDT Template:Medway Towns RDT-but sleeping dogs can lie too.
