There's no need to disambiguate the only Cheyrou in the squad. I disagree : Bruno and Benoit Cheyrou both have played for Marseille over the past few years. Furthermore who knows Benoit ? He is not as famous as his brother... We show the full name at Olympique de Marseille. This template is used solely for navigation, not identification. You might ask why it does not say G. Neville on {{Manchester United F.C. squad}}, when P. Neville played there more recently than Bruno played for L'OM. Or the same reasoning on {{England Squad 2006 World Cup}} when Phil was on standby. The reasoning is simple.
