Acanthocyclops smithae – gatunek słodkowodnego widłonoga z rodziny Cyclopidae[1]. Opisali go w 1999 roku amerykańska biolożka Janet W. Reid z Narodowego Muzeum Historii Naturalnej w Waszyngtonie (część Smithsonian Institution) i meksykański hydrobiolog Eduardo Suárez-Morales. Miejsce typowe to staw rybny w El Progreso w Hondurasie; część paratypów pozyskano w wolno płynącym, płytkim i mulistym strumieniu w pobliżu Chetumal w stanie Quintana Roo w Meksyku[2].
