Asam (hindi असम, trb.: Asam, trl.: Asam; ang. Assam) – stan w północno-wschodnich Indiach ze stolicą w Dispurze. Leży u stóp Himalajów i sąsiaduje ze stanami: Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura i Meghalaya oraz z Bhutanem i Bangladeszem.
