Kariera sportowa
Zajął 8. miejsce w biegu na 1500 metrów na mistrzostwach Europy juniorów w 1979 w Bydgoszczy[2][3].
Odpadł w półfinale biegu na 5000 metrów na igrzyskach olimpijskich w 1984 w Los Angeles[1]. Nie ukończył biegu finałowego na 3000 metrów na światowych igrzyskach halowych w 1985 w Paryżu[4].
Zwyciężył w biegu na 3000 metrów na halowych mistrzostwach Europy w 1985 w Pireusie, wyprzedzając Thomasa Wessinghage z Republiki Federalnej Niemiec i Witalija Tyszczenko ze Związku Radzieckiego[5].
Był mistrzem Belgii w biegu na 1500 metrów w 1981 i 1982[6].
