CA Chardenet – hiszpański klub szachowy z siedzibą w Madrycie, dziewięciokrotny mistrz kraju.

Historia

Założycielem klubu był José Luis López Iglesias[1]. W 1959 roku CA Chardenet zadebiutował w najwyższej klasie rozgrywkowej mistrzostw Hiszpanii, zajmując czwarte miejsce. W 1960 roku po raz pierwszy drużyna zdobyła mistrzostwo kraju, później dokonując jeszcze tego w latach 1963, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1974 i 1975[2]. Od sezonu 1968 klub funkcjonował jako CA Schweppes[3]. W sezonie 1975/1976 madrycka drużyna wystąpiła w Pucharze Europy[4]. Zespół odpadł wówczas w pierwszej rundzie, przegrywając 5½:6½ z Solinger SG 1868[5]. W 1977 roku klub po raz ostatni występował w najwyższej lidze, a w 1979 roku – już jako Chardenet – spadł z Segunda División[2].

Zawodnikami klubu byli m.in. Juan Manuel Bellón López, Ricardo Calvo, Rodolfo Cardoso, Jesús Díez del Corral, Miguel Farré Mallofré, Eduardo Franco Raymundo, Ernesto Palacios de la Prida, Eduardo Pérez Gonsalves, Francisco José Pérez, Francisco Javier Sanz Alonso, Román Torán Albero i Fernando Visier Segovia[6].
