Camptostoma – rodzaj ptaków z podrodziny elenii (Elaeniinae) w obrębie rodziny tyrankowatych (Tyrannidae).

Rozmieszczenie geograficzne

Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Ameryce Południowej i Północnej[6].

Morfologia

Długość ciała 9,5–10,5 cm, masa ciała 7–9 g[7].

Systematyka

Rodzaj zdefiniował w 1857 roku angielski zoolog Philip Lutley Sclater w artykule zatytułowanym Lista dodatkowych gatunków ptaków meksykańskich, uzyskana przez pana Auguste’a Sallé z okolic Jalapa i S. Andres Tuxtla, opublikowanym w czasopiśmie „Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London”[1]. Gatunkiem typowym jest (oznaczenie monotypowe) koszykotyranik północny (C. imberbe).

Etymologia

  • Myiaphanistes: gr. μυια muia, μυιας muias ‘mucha’; φαινω phainō ‘ujawnić’[8]. Gatunek typowy: Reichenbach nie podał żadnego gatunku; (późniejsze oznaczenie)[4] Muscicapa obsoleta Temminck, 1824.
  • Camptostoma: gr. καμπτος kamptos ‘zakrzywiony, skrzywiony’; στομα stomia, στοματος stomatos ‘usta’[9].
  • Myiopatis: gr. μυια muia, μυιας muias ‘mucha’; πατεω pateō ‘jeść’[10]. Gatunek typowy (oznaczenie monotypowe): Hylophilus cinerascens[b] zu Wied-Neuwied, 1831.
  • Renggerornis: Johann Rudolf Rengger (1795–1832), szwajcarski przyrodnik w Paragwaju w latach 1810–1826; gr. ορνις ornis, ορνιθος ornithos ‘ptak’[11]. Gatunek typowy (oznaczenie monotypowe): Renggerornis leucophthalmus W. Bertoni, 1901 (= Muscicapa obsoleta Temminck, 1824).
