Claroteidae – rodzina słodkowodnych ryb sumokształtnych (Siluriformes). Obejmuje ponad 60 gatunków, klasyfikowanych wcześniej w obrębie rodziny bagrowatych (Bagridae), a obecnie – na podstawie badań molekularnych – wyodrębnianych do Claroteidae[1][2]. Ślady kopalne Chrysichthys znane są z pliocenu Ugandy[1].
