Pozycja w klasyfikacji według Index Fungorum: Arthoniaceae, Arthoniales, Arthoniomycetidae, Arthoniomycetes, Pezizomycotina, Ascomycota, Fungi[1].
Rodzaj Coniangium utworzył Augustin Pyramus de Candolle w 1805 r. Gatunkiem typowym jest Coniocarpon cinnabarinum[1]. Gatunki występujące w Polsce:
- Coniocarpon cinnabarinum DC. 1805 – kleksiak cynamonowy (plamica cynamonowa)
- Coniocarpon fallax (Ach.) Grube 2014 – kleksiak nadobny (plamica nadobna)
