Courtship Dating został przyjęty pozytywnie przez krytyków, NME określił go jako "synth-pop przepełniony cichymi krzykami, szarpaniem basu oraz najlepszy kawałek od czasu ukazania się utworu The Knife "Silent Shout"[1].
