Charakterystyka
Grzyby mikroskopijne, endobionty, pasożyty i saprotrofy roślin atakujące głównie drzewa iglaste i wywołujące u nich grzybowe choroby roślin. Dothistroma pini i Dothistroma septosporum powodują czerwoną plamistość igieł. W Polsce występuje D. septosporum[3], istnieje ryzyko zawleczenia D. pini[4].
