Eastern Arc Mountains (ang. Eastern Arc Mountains, AT11) – ekoregion i łańcuch górski na terenie Tanzanii i Kenii. W jego skład wchodzą łańcuchy górskie oraz rozdzielające je równiny.

Eastern Arc Mountains jest opisywany jako łańcuch starych, liczących około 30 milionów lat) prekambryjskich gór rozciągający się do gór Taita Hills w południowej Kenii do Udzungwa Mountains w południowo-środkowej części Tanzanii, które znajdują się pod wpływem klimatu Oceanu Indyjskiego. Składa się z 13 oddzielonych formacji górskich:

  1. Taita Hills
  2. Pare Mountains (Południowe i Północne)
  3. Usambara Mountains (Wschodnie i Zachodnie)
  4. Nguru Mountains
  5. Ukaguru Mountains
  6. Uluguru
  7. Uvidunda Mountains
  8. Rubeho Mountains
  9. Malundwe Mountain
  10. Udzungwa Mountains
  11. Mahenge Mountains[1][2]

Region ten należy do najważniejszych na świecie obszarów ochrony bioróżnorodności na świecie[3][4].

Bioróżnorodność

W ekoregionie Eastern Arc Forests występuje wiele endemicznych gatunków zwierzą i roślin: 12 ssaków, 32 gadów, 43 motyli, ponad 50 gatunków płazów, ponad 80 gatunków bezkręgowców, 21 gatunków ptaków i ponad 500 gatnków roślin[2].
