Ernest Johann August von Modl (ur. 6 kwietnia 1794 w Poznaniu, zm. 4 maja 1860[1]) – duchowny luterański, superintendent kaliski[2].

Życiorys

W latach 1821–1860 był pastorem parafii kaliskiej, zaś w latach 1828–1860 pełnił także funkcję superintendenta kaliskiego. Był autorem zbioru kazań i nauczycielem religii. Modl był także posiadaczem dużego księgozbioru[2].

Jego syn Franciszek Modl, był uczestnikiem wojny krymskiej, drugi syn Alfred, pastorem, zaś córka Natalia była malarką[2].

Został pochowany wraz z żoną Friederike z domu Schneider (zm. 1859)[1] na cmentarzu ewangelickim w Kaliszu[2][3].
