Fatma Aydemir (ur. 1986 w Karlsruhe) – niemiecka pisarka i dziennikarka.

Życiorys

Urodziła się w 1986 roku w Karlsruhe[1][2]. Studiowała germanistykę i amerykanistykę na Uniwersytecie Johanna Wolfganga Goethego we Frankfurcie nad Menem[2].

Od 2012 roku pracuje jako felietonistka i redaktorka „Die Tageszeitung”[2][3], współpracowała także z takimi periodykami jak „Spex” i „Missy Magazine”[2].

Zadebiutowała w 2017 roku[4] kontrowersyjną[1] powieścią Ellbogen, która została wyróżniona Nagrodą Klausa Michaela Kühne i Nagrodą Franza Hessela[4]. Utwór doczekał się także kilku adaptacji teatralnych[2]. Druga powieść Aydemir, Dżiny, opowiada historię paru pokoleń turecko-kurdyjskiej rodziny, która emigrowała do Niemiec[5]. Utwór znalazł się w finale nagrody Deutscher Buchpreis[3][4][5] oraz przyniósł autorce nagrodę im. Roberta Gernhardta[4][5].

W 2023 roku miała teatralną premierę jej sztuka Doktormutter Faust, która w następnym roku ukazała się nakładem Suhrkamp Verlag[6].

Aydemir mieszka w Berlinie[2].
