Etymologia
Ghatixalus: Ghaty (tj. Ghaty Zachodnie), od sanskr. ghaţ „stopnie”; rodzaj Ixalus[a] A.M.C. Duméril & Bibron, 1841 (nazwa ta często jest używana jako przyrostek w wielu nazwach rodzajów w rodzinie Rhacophoridae)[2].
