Siedzibą władz gminy było miasto Bramming.

Gmina Bramming została utworzona 1 kwietnia 1970 na mocy reformy podziału administracyjnego Danii. Po kolejnej reformie administracyjnej w roku 2007 weszła w skład nowej gminy Esbjerg[1].
