HMAS Australia
Dwa okręty Royal Australian Navy nosiły nazwę HMAS Australia, dla uhonorowania swego kraju:
- HMAS „Australia” − krążownik liniowy typu Indefatigable z okresu I wojny światowej, w służbie od 1913 roku, wycofany w 1922 roku i zatopiony dwa lata później[1]
- HMAS „Australia” − krążownik ciężki należący do podtypu Kent typu County, w służbie od 1928 roku, uczestniczący w działaniach II wojny światowej, wycofany w 1954 roku i złomowany w roku następnym[1]
- nazwa HMAS „Australia” przewidziana była również dla lotniskowca HMS „Invincible”, podczas uzgadniania umowy jego zakupu przez Australię na początku 1982 roku. Umowa została anulowana po wybuchu wojny o Falklandy.
Nazwę HMS „Australia” nosił również brytyjski krążownik pancerny typu Orlando, służący w Royal Navy w latach 1888−1905[1].
