W miejscowości jest stacja kolejowa Hrastnik.
W mieście jest kościół parafialny Chrystusa Króla, który należy do rzymskokatolickiej diecezji w Celje, wybudowany w 1936 roku. W parafii jest także drugi kościół poświęcony Matce Bożej.
