Systematyka i nazewnictwo

Rodzaj Hypodermella utworzył Karl von Tubeuf w 1990 r. Gatunkiem typowym jest Hypodermella laricis Tubeuf 1895[1][1].

Większość gatunków dawniej zaliczanych do tego rodzaju została w wyniku zmian w taksonomii przeniesiona do innych rodzajów[2]. W Polsce występuje Hypodermella larix, u modrzewi wywołujący chorobę o nazwie górnoreglowa osutka modrzewia[3].
