Interior
Interior – terytorium położone w głębi kraju, słabo zagospodarowane i trudno dostępne wnętrze lądu, daleko od wybrzeża morskiego i od ośrodków przemysłowych. Tradycyjnie termin ten odnosi się zwłaszcza do obszarów tego typu w Ameryce Południowej, Australii (tzw. Outback), Islandii, Kanadzie[1], Rosji i USA[2]. Państwa u których występuje interior podejmują działania, aby zwiększyć możliwości gospodarczego wykorzystania tych obszarów, przykładem czego jest np. wybudowanie od podstaw stolicy w głębi kraju przez rząd Brazylii w latach 50. i 60. XX wieku.
