Jake Reese, Jaap Reesema lub Jaap, właściwie Jaap Siewertsz van Reesema[1] (ur. 28 października 1984 w Deventer[2]) – holenderski piosenkarz, autor tekstów, kompozytor, producent muzyczny[3], zwycięzca talent show X Factor[4]. Na terenie Polski znany jest głównie z utworu „Savannah” nagranego we współpracy z niemieckim DJ Faulhaberem.
Kariera muzyczna
W 2010 roku zwyciężył talent show X Factor (holenderską wersję polskiego programu telewizyjnego o tej samej nazwie)[5][6]. Przyjął wówczas pseudonim Jaap, pod którym wydał 1 singel: „Don’t Stop Believin’”[7]. Dostał się on na szczyt listy przebojów Holandii[8]. Następnie zmienił pseudonim na Jaap Reesema[9]. Od 2014 roku nagrywa również single jako Jake Reese[10], nie rezygnując z poprzedniego pseudonimu.
Od tego czasu współpracował z wieloma didżejami różnych narodowości. W 2015 roku zyskał popularność międzynarodową dzięki gościnnemu udziałowi w singlu „Mad World” Hardwella, który stał się międzynarodowym przebojem[11] (był on notowany m.in. we Francji[12], Belgii[13][14], Niemczech[15], Austrii[16] czy Libanie[17]).
W Polsce[18] i Wspólnocie Niepodległych Państw[19] zasłynął singlem „Savannah” nagranym z Faulhaberem w 2018 roku[20]. W tym samym roku osiągnął szczyt listy flandryjskiej z utworem „Ellie”[13], którego głównym autorem jest Regi[21].
W 2020 roku sukces powtórzył dwukrotnie: z singlem „Kom wat dichterbij” (numer 1 w Belgii[13]) oraz „Nu wij niet meer praten” (numer 1 w Belgii[13] oraz Holandii[22]). Od 2021 roku zasiada jako juror w programie Regi Academy[23].
Życie prywatne
Jake Reese mieszka ze swoją żoną Kim Kötter[24]. Ma z nią dwóch synów. Są nimi: Muck (ur. 2016) oraz Youp Mickey Maes (ur. 31 marca 2018)[25].
