James Augustus Johnson (ur. 16 maja 1829 w Spartanburg, zm. 11 maja 1896 w San Francisco[1]) – amerykański prawnik, polityk, członek Partii Demokratycznej.
Działalność polityczna
Od 1859 do 1860 zasiadał w Zgromadzeniu Stanowym Kalifornii. W okresie od 4 marca 1867 do 3 marca 1871 przez dwie kadencje był przedstawicielem 3. okręgu wyborczego w stanie Kalifornia w Izbie Reprezentantów Stanów Zjednoczonych. Od 1875 do 1880 był wicegubernatorem Kalifornii[1].
