Jef Neve (ur. 8 marca 1977 w Turnhout[1]) – belgijski pianista i kompozytor muzyki jazzowej i klasycznej.

Życiorys

W wieku 14 lat komponował już muzykę i grał w różnych zespołach[1]. Studiował jazz i muzykę klasyczną w Lemmensinstituut w Leuven, gdzie ukończył studia w 2000 roku[1][2]. Niedługo później pracował jako nauczyciel gry na fortepianie i wziął pod swoje skrzydła 12-letniego wówczas Seppe Gebruersa[3].

Napisał ścieżkę dźwiękową do filmu Felixa Van Groeningena Dni bez miłości[2] i filmu Ludovica Bource’a Artysta[1]. Skomponował również utwory do belgijskiego serialu telewizyjnego Na polach Flandrii[1].

Recenzent „Guardiana” napisał na temat albumu Neve „Soul in a Picture” z 2008 roku, że gra pianisty zawiera bardzo osobisty język, swobodnie czerpiący z muzyki klasycznej i – wspierany przez Pieta Verbista (kontrabas) i Teuna Verbruggena (perkusja) – nacechowany dynamiką jazzu i rocka[4]. Neve pojawił się także w albumie José Jamesa „For All We Know” z 2010 roku[2].
