John Floyd Thomas Jr. (ur. 26 lipca 1936 w Los Angeles) - amerykański seryjny morderca i gwałciciel, zwany Dusicielem z Southland. W latach 1972–1986 zamordował co najmniej siedem kobiet[1].

W marcu 2009 r. Thomas został aresztowany, gdy testy DNA połączyły go z siedmioma morderstwami popełnionymi w Los Angeles. Mężczyzna był wcześniej znany policji, od lat 50. dopuszczał się gwałtów, za co wielokrotnie trafiał do zakładów penitencjarnych[2]. Thomas przyjął ugodę, na mocy której przyznał się do winy, a prokuratura nie domagała się kary śmierci. W kwietniu 2011 r. Thomas został skazany na karę dożywotniego pozbawienia wolności i osadzony w zakładzie karnym w Stockton[3]. Obecnie jest podejrzanym w sprawie ponad 30 morderstw popełnionych na przełomie lat 70. i 80[4].
