Materiał na płytę został zarejestrowany 3 sierpnia 1964 roku przez Rudy’ego Van Geldera w należącym do niego studiu (Van Gelder Studio) w Englewood Cliffs w stanie New Jersey. Produkcją albumu zajął się Alfred Lion[2].
