Lentinula Earle (twardnik) – rodzaj grzybów z rodziny Omphalotaceae[1]. W Polsce występuje tylko jeden przedstawiciel tego rodzaju[2].
Systematyka i nazewnictwo
Pozycja w klasyfikacji według Index Fungorum: Omphalotaceae, Agaricales, Agaricomycetidae, Agaricomycetes, Agaricomycotina, Basidiomycota, Fungi[1].
Rodzaj Lentinula utworzył Franklin Sumner Earle w 1909 r. Gatunkiem typowym jest Lentinula cubensis (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Earle (1909)[1]. Nazwę polską podał Władysław Wojewoda w 1998 r. W polskim piśmiennictwie mykologicznym rodzaj ten opisywany był też jako twardziak[2]. Synonim naukowy Shitaker Lloyd[3]:
