Loci theologici

Loci theologici (pol. Miejsca teologiczne) – termin wywodzący się z teologii protestanckiej (Filip Melanchton), gdzie oznacza oparte na Biblii główne artykuły wiary. W teologii katolickiej oznacza źródła poznania teologicznego[1].

W katolicyzmie

Pojęcie wywodzi się z Topik Arystotelesa, utrwalił je Melchor Cano w dziele De locis theologicis (1563). Loci theologici to źródła teologiczne, z których wynika argumentacja teologii. Cano wyróżnił dziesięć typów źródeł uszeregowanych według określonej hierarchii:

  1. auctoritas Sacrae ScripturaeBiblia,
  2. auctoritas Traditionum Christi et ApostolorumTradycja,
  3. auctoritas Ecclesiae CatholicaeKościół katolicki,
  4. auctoritas Conciliorumsobory powszechne,
  5. auctoritas Ecclesiae RomanaeStolica Apostolska,
  6. auctoritas Sanctorum VeterumOjcowie Kościoła,
  7. auctoritas theologorum scholasticorum, quibus adiungamus etiam luris Pontifici peritos – teologowie i kanoniści,
  8. ratio naturalis – rozum,
  9. auctoritas philosophorum – filozofowie i juryści,
  10. humanae auctoritas historiae – historia[2.1].

Współcześnie w teologii nastąpiła pogłębiona systematyka miejsc teologicznych. Stanisław Celestyn Napiórkowski wyróżnił dwadzieścia miejsc teologicznych, dzieląc je na natchnione i nienatchnione oraz zobiektywizowane i niezobiektywizowane, jednak pierwsze miejsce w jego schemacie zajmuje Biblia. Czesław Bartnik z kolei dostrzegł jedenaście podstawowych miejsc teologicznych, również na pierwszym miejscu wyróżniając Pismo Święte. Jerzy Szymik zauważył, że szczególnie po soborze watykańskim II należy mówić o nowych miejscach teologicznych. Szymik zaliczył do nich znaki czasu, sztukę, środki masowego przekazu i obyczajowość[2.2].
