Madeleine Thien (ur. 25 maja 1974 w Vancouver) – kanadyjska pisarka pochodzenia malezyjsko-chińskiego[1].

Studiowała taniec współczesny na Uniwersytecie Simona Frasera oraz otrzymała stopień master of arts z kreatywnego pisania na Uniwersytecie Kolumbii Brytyjskiej w 2001 roku[2]. Wykłada literaturę angielską w Brooklyn College[3].

Zadebiutowała w 2001 roku książką Simple recipes[2].
