Marcote Mondariz – hiszpański klub szachowy z siedzibą w Mondariz, trzykrotny mistrz kraju.

Historia

Klub powstał w 1991 roku. Honorowym prezydentem klubu był Garri Kasparow[1]. W 1994 roku zadebiutował w Primera División, zajmując wówczas ósme miejsce[2]. W 1998 roku zespół został sklasyfikowany na czwartej pozycji, a rok później zdobył tytuł mistrzowski. W latach 2000 i 2002 klub zajmował drugie miejsce w klasyfikacji, a w sezonie 2003 zdobył drugi w swojej historii tytuł mistrzowski W 2009 roku Marcote był wicemistrzem kraju, a w sezonie 2010 zdobył mistrzostwo. W 2011 roku zajął trzecie miejsce w lidze, po czym wycofał się z zawodów[3].

Zawodnikami klubu byli m.in. Andriej Charitonow, Baadur Dżobawa, Sergio Estremera Paños, Zenón Franco Ocampos, Luís Galego, Giorgi Giorgadze, Aleksander Graf, Boris Gulko, Jan Gustafsson, Vüqar Həşimov, Yudania Hernández Estévez, Román Hernández Onna, Alejandro Hoffman, Ernesto Inarkijew, David Lariño Nieto, Wadym Małachatko, Wadim Miłow, Arkadij Naiditsch, Dragan Paunović, Daniel Rivera Kuzawka, Iván Salgado López, Krishnan Sasikiran, Jan Smeets i Francisco Vallejo Pons[4].
