Występowanie
Mastacembelus erythrotaenia występuje w Tajlandii oraz od Kambodży po Indonezję[2]. Mastacembelus armatus natomiast od Pakistanu po Wietnam i w Indonezji[3]. Niektóre gatunki żyją w Afryce w Jeziorze Tanganika.
