Broome urodził się w Bedford, a dorastał w Northampton[3][4]. Uczęszczał do Caroline Chisholm School[5]. Był członkiem sekcji młodzieżowej stowarzyszenia Northampton Musical Theatre Company (NMTC), a później dołączył do National Youth Theatre.
