Memphis Chess Club – amerykański klub szachowy z siedzibą w Memphis.
Historia
Klub powstał w 1877 roku i jest jednym z najstarszych wciąż aktywnych klubów szachowych w Stanach Zjednoczonych[1][a]. Klub założyli lokalni przedsiębiorcy na czele z Dudleyem Saundersem, który został także pierwszym przewodniczącym. W 1907 roku klub był współorganizatorem mistrzostw świata[3]. W 1914 roku Memphis Chess Club organizował turniej US Open, który wygrał – podobnie jak rok wcześniej – Bradford Jefferson, przedsiębiorca z Memphis[4]. W roku 1978 klub organizował mistrzostwa Stanów Zjednoczonych juniorów. W 2020 roku w ramach klubu otwarto kawiarnię[3]. W 2022 roku klub zdobył nagrodę dla klubu szachowego roku, ufundowaną przez Federacją Szachową Stanów Zjednoczonych[5].
