Rząd Mycocliciales utworzyli w 2000 r. Lif Tibell i Mats Wedin. Typem nomenklatorycznym jest rodzaj Mycocalicium Vain. 1890[1]. Według aktualizowanej klasyfikacji Index Fungorum bazującej na Dictionary of the Fungi do rzędu tego należą dwie rodziny[2]:
