Etymologia
- Myza: gr. μυζαω muzaō „ssać”[5].
- Orodytes: gr. ορος oros, ορεος oreos „góra”; δυτης dutēs „nurek”, od δυω duō „zanurzać się”[6]. Typ nomenklatoryczny: Arachnothera ? celebensis A.B. Meyer & Wiglesworth, 1895.
