Peter Adamson

Peter Scott Adamson (ur. 1972) – amerykański historyk filozofii i historyk idei.

Obronił doktorat z filozofii na Uniwersytecie Notre Dame. Od 2000 r. wykłada w King's College London, a od 2012 r. na Uniwersytecie Monachijskim[1][2]. Specjalizuje się w filozofii późnej starożytności oraz arabskiej.

Od 2010 r. prowadzi podcast History of philosophy without any gaps poświęcony historii filozofii, w którym przedstawia również mniej znane postaci, zazwyczaj pomijane w ogólnych opracowaniach. Do 2025 r. nagrał ok. 500 odcinków głównej serii (od presokratyków do Kartezjusza), oraz osobne serie poświęcone filozofii indyjskiej, afrykańskiej oraz chińskiej[3]. Podcast spotkał się z uznaniem krytyków[4] oraz słuchaczy (do 2014 r. odcinki zostały pobrane 4 mln razy[5]); na jego podstawie autor wydaje również serię książek, będących adaptacją skryptów odcinków.
