Peter Driscoll (ur. 4 lutego 1942 w Londynie, zm. 30 października 2005 w Dublinie) – irlandzki autor thrillerów. Jego najbardziej znaną powieścią jest Na tropie Wilby’ego (1972), której akcja rozgrywa się w realiach RPA okresu apartheidu. W 1975 roku książka doczekała się adaptacji filmowej[1].

Życiorys

Urodził się 4 lutego 1942 roku w Londynie. Po wojnie wraz z rodzicami przeprowadził się do Republiki Południowej Afryki[2]. W latach 1955-1958 uczęszczał do szkoły braci marystów pw. św. Dawida w Inandzie(inne języki), a następnie na University of the Witwatersrand[2]. Następnie w Johannesburgu pracował dla The Rand Daily Mail(inne języki).

W swoim życiu pracował również w Grecji i Hongkongu[3]. W późniejszym okresie życia objął stanowisko zastępcy redaktora naczelnego serwisu informacyjnego Raidió Teilifís Éireann.

Zmarł nagle w 2005 roku na atak serca. Był żonaty z Angelą Hennessy, z którą miał dwie córki: Justine i Mirandę[4].
