Zasięg występowania

Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Azji Wschodniej i Południowo-Wschodniej – w Chinach, Laosie i Wietnamie[2][3].

Systematyka

Rodzaj Philosina wprowadził w 1917 roku szwajcarski lekarz i entomolog Friedrich Ris dla nowo opisanego przez siebie gatunku Philosina buchi[4]. Obecnie do rodzaju zaliczane są trzy gatunki[1].

Dawniej rodzaj ten zaliczany był do parafiletycznej rodziny Megapodagrionidae, ale w 2014 roku Dijkstra i in. na podstawie badań filogenetycznych i morfologicznych przywrócili rodzinę Philosinidae, zaliczając do niej rodzaje Philosina i Rhinagrion[3][5].

Etymologia

Philosina: gr. φιλο– philo „kochający, lubiący”[6][7]; łac. Sinae „Chiny”[6].
