Promontorium
Promontorium (z łac. cypel) – fragment powierzchni Księżyca znacznie jaśniejszy od sąsiednich obszarów (zazwyczaj mórz lub oceanu). Określenia Promotorium dotyczy tylko najbardziej wyraźnych rejonów powierzchni Księżyca. Powszechnie uważa się, że za powstanie cypli księżycowych odpowiedzialne są mikrometeoryty.
