Providence Steamrollers – amerykański klub koszykarski z siedzibą w Providence działający w latach 1946–1949.
Historia
Klub występował w lidze BAA (protoplasta NBA). W latach 1946–1949 uzyskał bilans ligowy 46–122 (27,4%)[1].
Howie Shannon został nieoficjalnym debiutantem roku BAA (oficjalnie liga zaczęła przyznawać nagrodę od sezonu 1952/53 już pod nazwą National Basketball Association), podczas rozgrywek 1948/49[2].
Nat Hickey jest najstarszym zawodnikiem w historii BAA/NBA, który wyszedł na parkiet w oficjalnym meczu (45 lat 363 dni – 1947/48)[3]. Będąc trenerem zespołu aktywował się jako zawodnik na dwa spotkania sezonu regularnego.
