Etymologia
- Pucadelphys: Puca Group, obejmująca formację El Molino (nazwy puca lub puka oznaczające w keczua czerwony); rdzeń -delphys używany w wielu łacińskich nazwach rodziny dydelfowatych[1].
- andinus: nowołac. Andinus „andyjski, z Andów”, od Andium „Andy”[1].
